Meet Winnie
Winnie was born in a small city located between Detroit and Ann Arbor, Michigan. She traveled often as she grew up, visiting places such as Italy, Africa, and Germany. She wrote about her experiences, and then her stories and musings paused as she pursued her passion to become an educator.
When she suffered a miscarriage, it was her writing she turned to in order to help heal her broken heart. Tumble Words is her first work of published poetry, penned after her lifelong nickname, from Winnie the Pooh. Winnie has since welcomed two beautiful children into the world with her husband. She continues her passion as an educator by homeschooling her children and being an involved community member.
Through networking and coincidental connections, she was tasked with writing a memoir for an incredible woman whose life story is anything but simple and sweet; it’s a true story of trauma, family heartbreak, and a cold-case being cracked open after 20 years of being shelved in a police lab. Winnie is no stranger to bringing these complicated, raw, triumphant journeys to pages and works of words. Shelved is expected to arrive in bookstores nationwide in Spring 2028.
